Pullen: America's Loss is Arizona's Gain

Phoenix – Randy Pullen, chairman of the Arizona Republican Party today expressed deep concern about former Arizona Governor Janet Napolitano's continued struggle with her new job, Secretary of Homeland Security.

Responding to a series of well-publicized gaffes, Chairman Pullen said that he was extremely glad that she was no longer guiding Arizona into fiscal oblivion, and continued to reflect upon how she served as Governor, let alone our country's Homeland Security Czar.

"Little did I know how on target I truly was when I said that America's loss was Arizona's gain," said Chairman Pullen. "It is clear to me that she's in way above her head. She has little understanding of the security issues facing our country and has offended veterans and other groups with her ridiculous comments. I'm sure that President Obama is experiencing some ‘buyer's remorse' with this cabinet pick. She obviously should step down immediately."

Secretary Napolitano recently claimed in a report regarding current national security threats wrote that U.S. veterans serving in Afghanistan and Iraq may be targeted for recruitment by extremist groups. Those also at risk? "Citizens concerned with illegal immigration, abortion, increasing federal power and restrictions on firearms."

"Honestly, I'm unsure how she functioned as Governor, let alone as the Secretary of Homeland Security," said Chairman Pullen. "I'm truly grateful to President Obama gave her the opportunity to leave Arizona, and she accepted. I shudder to think how she would be handling the current fiscal crisis. She most likely would have continued her irresponsible fiscal gimmicks, reckless borrowing programs and rampant state spending that put us in the position we're in now. Thank God she's gone."

"It appears rather than hitting the ground running, she's just run into the ground, said the Chairman. "Even the Canadian press has compared her knowledge of border issues to that of a ‘late-night radio call in yahoo'. It's disturbing."
