Veterans Day

November 10, 2011

As Chairman of the Arizona Republican Party, there are not enough words to express our gratitude for the sacrifices our veterans have endured to preserve the precious liberties and opportunities that symbolize the American Dream.

Veterans Day is one of our most important holidays because it was created to give special recognition for the millions of veterans – all of whom sacrificed something and some of whom sacrificed everything.  In this time, we especially thank those citizen soldiers who live every day carrying the physical and mental scars due to their service.

In addition to honoring our veterans, we are forever blessed for their family members who put their lives on hold during our servicemen and servicewomen’ active duty and who will forever carry the burdens caused by their incapacitation – regardless of the level.

Again, as Chairman, I ask every Arizonan to accord special respect to those in military uniform now as well as those who are veterans of one of our branches of military service.  Without the prior service and the current service contributed by these patriots, America would not exist as we know it.

We salute our military personnel and our veterans and their families.

May God bless each of you now and in the future.

Tom Morrissey, Chairman
Arizona Republican Party
