Arizona Republican Party Statement on Tucson Shooting Anniversary
PHOENIX – Arizona Republican Party issued the following statement today regarding the anniversary of the Tucson shooting tragedy:
“On this day, our thoughts and prayers continue to surround and embrace those who were injured and killed on that horrific Saturday morning one year ago. Their lives were profoundly altered by what happened that terrible day leaving a community, state and nation in a state of shock and tremendous grief.
“And while our political process was traumatically shaken by this dreadful incident, we have made incredible progress in recovering our hope and faith in a system that respects and honors each and every individual and their participation in our democratic system.
“This quiet Sunday morning, we lift our prayers and thoughts for all the victims of that fateful day. May their lives be comforted from the pain and may a transcending healing continue to take place.”
